Dear Parents, Guardians + Children
Well done for working so hard so far this week in such strange circumstances. It’s been good to hear from many of you via email and find out what you’ve up to! It’s also been good to see that lots of you have been doing other things as well as the work that I set on here. Please do that – use the opportunity at home to do something new and different, and if you find a great website or activity that you think other children in Sapphire Class would enjoy, let me know about it and I’ll pass it on to the rest of the class.
Lots of people have been enjoying taking part in Joe Wicks’ Daily Workout, doing half an hour’s fitness at 9am every morning. Even though it’s fairly tiring (and making my legs legs ache) we’ve been doing it here in school and it would be nice to think that you guys at home were joining in as well!
All the teachers in school really want to get Google Classroom working ASAP, but some of you still need to ask a parent or guardian to send me an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
For those that have already sent me an email, instructions about how to login to Google Classroom will start coming out very soon. Please follow the instructions in the email about how to login and then leave me a message in our classroom to say you’ve done it.
Also, if you are finding some of the work being set a little tricky, please don’t worry – have a look at the Home Learning Extra Resources Page that Mr Twelves has set up. It has some great ideas for activities you can do, and it will be added to as we continue on this new adventure.
Please find attached below, today’s Home Learning Activities for pupils in Sapphire Class (Year 3 + 4). Also attached, are the Maths activities for ALL pupils in Year 3 + 4.
Creativity is a continuation of yesterday’s Digestive System models.
NB: If you do not have the materials for this Creativity session in your home – due to the current restrictions on movement and essential travel – DO NOT WORRY ABOUT COMPLETING IT AND DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ATTEMPT TO COMPLETE THE TASK BY GOING OUTSIDE UNNECESSARILY AND BUYING MATERIALS.
This topic work will be set for the remainder of the week (Friday) to be completed where possible.
